2025! GCFPA Christmas Campaign
Last year, because of your generosity, the GCFPA was able to give every child in foster care in Greenville County a holiday gift card. Together, we made sure no child was left out. This year, there will be more than 450 children spending the holidays in foster care—and we want each one of them to feel seen, valued, and celebrated.
For years we collected toys and physical gifts. In 2020, we began sending gift cards directly to foster parents, giving them the power to choose gifts that fit each child’s unique needs and wishes. Gift cards ensure that each child receives the same amount, it prevents problems with items that may be against the rules of the group home or foster family, and are easier to re-route in case a child is moved. This change has been celebrated by foster parents, group home managers, case workers, and—most importantly—the children themselves.
Our goal is bold but simple: provide every child in foster care from Greenville County with at least $100 in gift cards (Target, Walmart, or Visa Vanilla). Every single dollar raised goes straight to the children—nothing is used for salaries or administrative costs.
The past few years have been challenging for many in our community, and we understand if you are unable to give right now. You can still play a crucial role by sharing this campaign with your friends and family so more children can experience the joy of the holidays.
We will start sending gift cards on December 8th; so we need your gift by December 6th. Thank you for being part of the community that makes this possible. With your help, we can give these children more than a gift—we can give them hope and a reminder that they are not forgotten.
Donate Now!
We need your help! We are asking donors to provide a monetary donation that we will use to purchase gift cards. These cards will then be distributed to purchase gifts and clothing for the children. All donations are tax deductible.
